Middle of June, Visit with Gams and Pops

So we didn't come down to my parent's house just to go to CA adventures, we came down because Dave needed to do some travelling and I needed to keep my sanity and my parent's said they would love to have us.  So we went, and boy am I glad we did.  We had a great time.  The boys were good, we got in lots of visits to the great grandparents and we all just had fun.  We left wishing we could stay longer.  Looking forward to going down again at the holidays.

4 Months Old!!!!  He is the happiest, easiest, best baby and we are so close to getting a giggle out of him...Love our True!

Picking apricots at Poppy's house

Truman Miller with Poppy - his namesake

The boys always find something to do....

Fun at Gams and Pops.  This pool was a big hit!!!

Visiting with Mamaw and Papaw.  They got some good True snuggles in.

No visit is complete at Mamaw and Papaw's house without their cookies.  I love how they have the tin out or plates set up with cookies on them when the boys come over.  Such precious memories.

 Smiles for Mamaw

I love watching Papaw with babies.  I love how his voice changes and he talks baby talk.  True loved him!

All ready for church on Sunday...love his tie...such a handsome little boy.

Showing Poppy how he can climb the tetherball pole all the way to the top.

Bedtime stories with Papa.  He's the best at reading the tickle monster book.

True and Papa watched hunting and gun shows together when I needed to put the boys down for naps or get them situated with something.    He especially liked the shows the bears.  Funny boy!  True loves watching tv, just like his brother Charlie.

Last time visiting Poppy.  I'm glad my 4 month old can smile better than my 2 and 4 year old????.  I scolded Ben for sticking his tongue out...and Charlie I kept saying, "Smile normal"  Oh the things we say as parents????!!

Ben holding True.  Love how True is getting chubby and his belly is starting to hang over his shorts.  Love chubby babies!!

Such sweet boys....After the previous picture, it is good to know and share with you that Ben is a sweet boy who can take nice pictures :)

Father's Day and My Birthday

We celebrated Father's Day and my birthday at my parent's house.  Dave had just returned from Texas Friday evening at 11pm, but didn't actually walk in the door until 2:30am.  His luggage didn't arrive and it was a fiasco of going to two other airports to try and track it down only to arrive and the airports were closed. I ended up taking him to the airport the next morning to pick up his luggage so we could get home fast and wash it all up for his next trip that evening.  So Dave was home for less than 24 hours before he left for Malaysia.

I made this for Dave for Father's Day.  The track is on the back of his shirt, so when he lays down the boys massage his back while driving their matchbox cars on the road.
On the front is a target for nerf guns.  Thank you Pinterest!

Thanking Charlie for the gift and card which said, "Happy Father's Day Dave."  Yes, he wrote Dave all by himself.  We made the cards the night before and I had written out "Happy Father's Day" on a piece of paper for him to then copy on his card.  After he copied "Happy Father's Day" all Charlie had to add was Dad, Papa, and Poppy.  Since Charlie already knows how to write dad I didn't write it, I just told him to write Dad at the end.  Well, after he wrote Dave, I said, "Oh Charlie why did you write Dave?"  he said, "Well, that's his name"  We all laughed pretty hard....our Charlie boy keeps us on our toes and in stitches.

Dave  is so tired!  He was a champ all day playing with the kids before he took off for the next 8 days.

 Trying out his new shirt

 Fun was had by all!

 Love this one!

California Adventures Part 1

So exciting!  I've been saving up money for this trip and we can't wait to take the boys to Radiator Springs.  They are going to flip!!!

Waiting for a ride.  He was AMAZING all day.  Love that smile and of course those dimples!

The boys took it all in!  They had a blast...let's be honest we all did!
Right outside the Mater ride with the tractors.  (I was feeding True in the nursing room/feeding area/diaper changing area-which by the way was AWESOME and I will definitely take advantage of it every time I go to D-Land in the future)
He looks so old here...I feel like I'm getting more glimpses into what he's going to look like as a teenager/man.  Just be my little boy :)

 This little boy LOVES Mater.

Aunt Kate, Ben and Uncle Ryan

 Dave and Charlie

Figuring out our game plan:

We are one blessed family!  Look at these happy, healthy kiddos.   Thank you God for my family!

It really looked just like the movie

Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kate.  It is pretty funny that Kate and I wore the same colored shirt with a white shirt under it and jeans.  We already look so much a like without matching clothes :)

 RED

Luigi's Tire Ride.  This was a hover craft and you had to lean to get it to move.  It was pretty fun.

We got each other good several times.  The boys thought it was fun too.

Look who it is!!!

Wow the boys were SOOOOOOOO excited to see Lightening.   Charlie couldn't stop talking to him to take a picture...I love it!  As we were leaving Lightening said bye and to keep our engines reving.
Lightening left and look who pulled up!!!
Ben was in shock!  He loves Mater!!!

The boys were so cute, they just wanted to talk to him, it was difficult getting them to turn around to take a picture.  So glad we came here!!!

 The carousel

 Buzz Lightyear ride

Still super happy and doing awesome!

This was the best ride!  The boys were not too crazy about it because it went pretty fast when we raced (hence my crazy hair), but I loved it!  In fact Charlie, said maybe he would ride it again when he's 26 :)
