Visit to Gam-Gam and Papa's

In May Dave had to go to Israel for work (I'll get those pics up some day :) ). So for the 1o days he was gone the boys and I flew down to my mom and dad's house. We had a great visit! I sent my first text message ever to Dave and I have to admit it was a nice option :) Charlie received his pair of cowboy boots from Papa...he wears them nonstop.  We had good visits with all the great-grandparents and of course the boys loved being with Gam-Gam and Papa.

Playing with Aunt Kate...
She can always get Ben to laugh :)

This is the tee-pee I played in when I was little...Charlie loved it!

Charlie's almost nightly treat from Gam-Gam. He called it snowman ice cream.

The Ipad and Charlie were a great match! Charlie did intereactive books every night. In this picture they are reading the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. ALMOST makes me want one.

Mamaw and Papaw's House

When I told Charlie we were going to go see Mamaw and Papaw the first question out of his mouth was, "Mamaw have cookies for me?" She had some butter cookies for him the last time we visited, so I guess he expects it now :) Well, Mamaw didn't disappoint - she had the cookies all layed out on a plate for him...he was in hog heaven. We had a great visit and we're looking forward to seeing them the next time we get down there.

Poppy's House

I love my Poppy's backyard.  When I was little it always seemed so big and like the secret garden.  He still has one of the greenest thumbs I know (I like to think I'm like him :).   I love how he takes me around his yard and tells me about each plant.  He has a rose bush from his mom and plants from previous houses and he has some of the prettiest roses you'll ever see.

The boys had fun playing in Poppy's backyard and watching the butterflies flutter about and birds tweet.  It was a special treat for us to have a picnic and visit with him.

 Playing baseball with Poppy:)

Fortunately Poppy has lots of balls!  Check out the new cowboy boots he got from Papa :)

For playing with and eating apparently :)

 cute boy :)

He's getting around and into mischief :)
