The boys wanted to play out on our patio and wait for Dave to come home (it was only 4), but they stayed out there and played for an hour and fifteen minutes happily playing and waiting for Dave.
These monster trucks have had A LOT of use the last 4 months.
On our last Saturday in Texas we went to the Austin Zoo. It is similar to the Folsom Zoo in that these animals have all been rescued. But this zoo has lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!) in addition to the typical chickens, llamas, sheep, goats, monkeys, parrots.
The funny part is that I only took pictures of statue animals - ha!
ah, ha here are some real animals...a llama and a deer.
peek-a-boo little monkeys
Ben loved the chickens and rooster. He chased them and was making the chicken noise.
We went right when it opened and that is when they feed the cats. The lion and lioness were terrifying., We're thinking maybe the lionness wasn't feeling well because she just layed there, but the lion was very protective of her. We weren't that close and he was growling and swatting at the fence...it was terrifying. Ben started crying and Charlie covered his ears and closed his eyes. I wanted to leave the lion area, but Dave thought it was amazing. These animals are nothing to mess with and it was really unnerving. I could kick myself now for not getting a video of it so you could see it.
